CAREER SUMMARY
Naji Assi graduated in 1994 from the School of Architecture of ALBA (Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts), University of Balamand. In 1996, he received his masters from the École d’Architecture de Paris-Belleville. He started working in Beirut in 1997 on several restoration projects and new developments. He worked with SA47 from 1997 till 2013 as an architect and managing partner. Simultaneously, he taught in several architecture schools including ALBA, LAU (Lebanese American University) and AUB (American University of Beirut) and was invited as an advisor and jury member to other academic institutions including the EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne). To date, Assi’s portfolio consists of a variety of projects including educational, cultural, residential, commercial, industrial, religious and internal fit outs. He participated in several design competitions and was nominated on numerous occasions among which the first prize for the extension of the ALBA campus in 2003, the extension of the Collège Protestant Français in 2015 and the 3rd prize for the new municipal stadium of Hadat in 2017.
